How the Life Path number is calculated

Your Life Path number comes from your full date of birth. You reduce the month, the day and the year each down to a single digit, then add those three numbers together and reduce once more, until you reach a single digit or one of the master numbers, 11, 22 or 33, which are kept as they are.

For example, a birth date of 14 May 1990 reduces like this: the month, 5, stays 5; the day, 14, becomes 1 plus 4, which is 5; the year, 1990, becomes 1 plus 9 plus 9 plus 0, which is 19, then 1 plus 9 is 10, then 1 plus 0 is 1. Adding the three results, 5 plus 5 plus 1, gives 11, a master number, so the Life Path is 11. The calculator above handles all of this for you, transparently.
